Sophie Burwell (Age 14)
Sophie is an incredible young investor. She started investing in Camp Millionaire Level 1
and has been growing leaps and bounds. In just 7 weeks she has made more than 40% gains! We used to joke that one day Sophie will have her own Sushi Restaurant - at this rate, she will be able to buy one before she even graduates from high school!
How did you hear about the Investment Competition?
I took some courses with Explorer Hop last year and my brother is part of the investors club so I heard about it from there.
How much investing experience do you have?
I did levels 1-4 of camp millionaire so I have some practice with trading
What are you hoping to get from participating in the competition?
Since I turn 15 this summer, I will be able to trade with real money and I want to feel confident enough trading before then. I also really want to beat my brother in the competition
What would you say to inspire other kids to learn about investing?
I would tell kids that understanding money and being able to invest is a really important skill to have. Being able to invest is great if you want to have enough money to pay for university, for a car etc. so I think it's a good idea to start investing young.
What hobbies or interests do you have?
I really like music and I play guitar and sing. I also play soccer and ski.
